School of Economics Holds July 1st Commendation Meeting In celebration of the 104th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and to fully leverage the exemplary role of advanced models, the School of Economics held an advanced selection and commendation meeting on the eve of July 1st in Room 718 of the North Complex. Over 70 attendees participated, including members of the School's Party and administrative leadership, all faculty Party members, student Party member representatives, and commended representatives. 
In his speech, Party Committee Secretary Zou Chunfa first extended congratulations to the awarded collectives and individuals. He explained the three purposes of the School Party Committee's annual advanced selection and commendation: to engage in continuous reflection and summarization during diligent work, ensuring the correct direction is maintained; to facilitate mutual learning and experience exchange among Party branches for collective improvement; and to recognize the phased achievements of each branch and individual Party members, thereby establishing role models. Secretary Zou put forward three requirements for the Party building work of the various branches within the School: First, to continuously strengthen the foundation of Party building, solidly advance the seven major aspects of branch construction—political, ideological, organizational, conduct, disciplinary, and institutional development—while prioritizing political construction. Second, to possess foresight and engage in top-level design, systematically summarizing distinctive practices in areas such as innovating organizational activities, educating and managing Party members, and serving teachers and students, thereby transforming Party building advantages into drivers for development. Third, to cultivate a benchmark mentality, continuously deepen the integration of theory and practice, persistently innovate the forms of the Three Meetings and One Lesson and themed Party days, and encourage Party members to strive for vanguard roles in teaching, research, management, and service. The meeting conducted the advanced selection through a combination of reporting and evaluation. Five faculty Party branches and four student Party branches reported on their annual work sequentially. Following on-site review, two advanced faculty Party branches and two advanced student Party branches were selected and awarded the title of Advanced Primary-Level Party Organization. 
During the award ceremony, School leaders presented honorary certificates to the awarded Party branches, outstanding Party affairs workers, and outstanding Communist Party members. It was reported that the commended outstanding Party affairs workers and outstanding Communist Party members were democratically recommended by their respective branches and subsequently reviewed and approved by the School Party Committee. This commendation meeting established advanced models and consolidated the driving force for progress. All faculty and students of the School will draw inspiration from these examples, strive diligently, reform and innovate, and contribute even greater strength to the development of the School and the cause of the Party.
