Faculty Members from Our School Attend the 2025 National Conference on Food Economy and Management


From August 20 to 22, 2025, the National Academic Conference on Food Economy and Management was grandly held in Harbin. The conference was jointly organized by Northeast Agricultural University and the Food Economy Professional Committee of the Chinese Agricultural Economic Society, and hosted by the College of Economics and Management of Northeast Agricultural University and the Institute of Agricultural Economics and Development of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences.The event brought together over 120 participants from universities and research institutions including Renmin University of China, the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, China Agricultural University, Zhejiang University, Jilin University, Northwest A&F University, Nanjing Agricultural University, Yangzhou University, Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics, Dongbei University of Finance and Economics, Anhui Agricultural University, Shanghai Ocean University, and Tianjin University of Science and Technology. Our school was represented by Professor Zhou Yingheng, Professor Zhang Liguo, and Associate Professor Chen Su from the Contemporary Finance Journal.


On the morning of the 21st, Professor Zhou Yingheng, as the Chair of the Food Economy Professional Committee of the Chinese Agricultural Economic Society, delivered an address on behalf of the society. He expressed gratitude and extended a warm welcome to the attending guests, reviewed the development history of the academic conference, and emphasized that the annual meeting centered on the theme Practicing the Concept of Great Food and Building a Diversified Food Supply System. Professor Zhou highlighted that the conference focused on practical issues, underscored strategic and scientific approaches, and emphasized new ideas and methods. He noted that the discussions aimed to provide academic insights for constructing a new food supply pattern characterized by richer food categories, optimized food structures, and higher food quality. He concluded by expressing his wishes for the complete success of the conference.


On the afternoon of the 21st, Professor Zhang Liguo presided over Parallel Forum III Dietary Nutrition and Healthy Consumption, participating in the entire forum discussion and delivering a concluding report. Associate Professor Chen Su presented the working paper New Quality Productive Forces Empowering Agricultural Green Transformation: Theoretical Mechanism and Empirical Test in Parallel Forum I The Concept of Great Food and Food Security.

       This conference not only strengthened the academic exchanges and cooperation between our school and other domestic higher education institutions but also demonstrated the research strength of our school in population, resources, and environmental economics, injecting strong momentum into the discipline construction and talent cultivation of the school.
